Nothing Phone 2a Budget Model Could Rival OnePlus Nord And Redmi Notes In 2024
Nothing Phone series could finally enter the budget segment in 2024 as per reports and it might give other brands some competition.

Nothing Phone series will be getting a new addition in 2024 and reports hint the coming could be preparing a budget Phone model for consumers. It is claimed that Nothing will have a special launch event at the Mobile World Congress 2024 (MWC 2024) in Barcelona where we could see the Nothing Phone 2a smartphone unveiled.

Apart from the name, there is very little known about the Phone 2a so far but new details have emerged recently, which suggests Nothing could take a different approach with its budget device.

Firstly, you might see a new Glyph LED design at the back, something that differentiates Nothing phones from other brands. But more importantly, the company could use a MediaTek Dimensity chipset for the first time, which could help the Phone 2a pricing to be a lot more aggressive.

The new back design leaked in clips this month suggest the value part will be in focus, which could make the Phone 2a a possible rival to the OnePlus Nord series and the Xiaomi Redmi Note lineup in the $400 (Rs 32,000 approx) range.

It is rumoured that the Phone 2a will have a 120Hz OLED display, come with 8GB RAM option with 128GB storage as the only model. The good thing about the Phone 2a could be its software, and Nothing could deliver the Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.5 version with the budget device which should give it a definite advantage over other brands.

Nothing has primarily acted like a premium brand so the new product could be a great departure from the initial stance. It could also be linked to Nothing’s growing business that warrants a more value-for-money product in the lineup, which could bring more numbers for the company.

Going up against the Nord and Redmi Note can be tough but Nothing would be hoping its unique focus goes in its favour with the buyers. We should know more about the Phone 2a early next year to see how it pans out for Carl Pei and Co.
