Team India take on Australia in the summit clash of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday as Rohit Sharma and Co. go in search of the nation’s first international trophy since their 2013 ICC Champions Trophy triumph.
The men in blue eye their third World Championship in the 50-over format to add to their 2011 and 1983 titles. And the final obstacle that stands in India’s way is five-time champion Australia, who seek to extend their lead at the top of the trophy tally.
The hosts haven’t dropped a game at the ongoing edition of the World Cup going into the finals with ten wins out of ten games on home soil.

Rohit Sharma will look to get his hands on the most coveted prize in World Cricket, after missing out on a place in the winning squad back in 2011, as he leads the talent-rich Indian side into the final frontier against the mighty Aussies.
Australia will be spearheaded by pacer Pat Cummins, who targets a place for himself amongst WC-winning Aussie skippers including Allan Border, Steve Waugh, Ricky Ponting and Michael Clark.
This will be India’s fourth appearance in the final of the tournament since its inception in the year 1975, while Australia step into the summit clash of the event for a record eighth time.
