The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) has kicked off the expansion of Hebbal flyover with the addition of two new tracks.
However, this development requires dismantling two spans of the existing KR Puram ramp at the junction where it meets the main track, as reported by Times Now News.
To ensure smooth traffic flow, the following measures have been implemented:
Closure of KR Pura Up-Ramp:
Starting from April 17, 2024, the KR Pura Up-Ramp of the Hebbal flyover will be closed for all vehicles except two-wheelers until further notice.
Alternative Routes for Nagavara Commuters:
Commuters traveling from Nagavara (ORR) towards the city via Mekhri circle are advised to take a right turn towards Kodigehalli at Hebbal circle below the flyover. Then, take a U-turn to join the service road and further connect to the loop towards the city.
Options for K.R.Pura Commuters:
Those coming from the K.R.Pura side heading towards the city are encouraged to use alternative routes such as:
- IOC-Mukunda theatre road
- Lingarajpura flyover route
- Nagavara-Tannery road route to enter the city
Hegdenagar-Thanisandra Route:
Commuters from Hegdenagar-Thanisandra can use G.K.V.K – Jakkur road to enter the city.
Route to Yashawanthapur:
Travelers moving from KR Pura towards Yashawanthapur can proceed straight below Hebbal flyover towards BEL circle. Take a left turn at BEL circle to reach Sadashivanagar PS Junction, then take a right turn towards IISc and onwards to Yashawanthapur.
Traveling to KIAL Airport:
For those heading towards KIAL Airport from KR Pura, Hennur, HRBR layout, Banasawadi, KG Halli, and surrounding areas, it’s advised to use the Hennur – Bagalur Road to reach the airport.
