Hyundai Opens Fifth Global Quality and Training Centre in India
The company has been witnessing an increase in sales as their portfolio of 10 vehicles sold about 6.62 lakh units last year and over 53 lakh Hyundai cars were serviced in the last yet itself.

Hyundai India Motor Ltd (HMIL) has inaugurated its Global Quality and Training Centre in India which is located in Faridabad, Haryana. The centre is one of the five centres established worldwide.

The result of a Rs 30 Crore investment, the centre will also be a point to exchange data along with other centres worldwide based on the feedback and findings from testing the upcoming vehicles. Hyundai also said that they are currently tied up with 38 ITIs and plan on increasing that to 48 this year and more than 95 percent of trained personnel at these ITIs are currently hired within the Hyundai network.

The India Quality Centre (INQC) has been established to improve product quality by understanding the needs of customers based on their feedback. The centre primarily focuses on 'top level safety quality through proactive communication and understanding the customer feedbacks to eliminate potential risks. The centre will also significantly monitor aspects including vehicle durability, unexpected safety issues, system and vehicles benchmarking.

The INQC will have equipment at par with global standard research and development tools for examination of the vehicle and complete engine diagnosis. The centre will also study new cars from their pilot stage till it's launch in the market. The pilot stage cars, at each development stage, are checked for both static and dynamic tests to ensure high-quality products.

The centre also consists of service training centre and a body and paint training centre.

Hyundai currently has six training centres across India and plans to train more than 15,000 dealer manpower in the calendar year 2017 and additionally, plans to open two new centres at Guwahati and Ahmedabad by the end if the year.
