The report says the development comes after seeing the time consumption of battery-powered buses during the charging stations. The sole purpose of the initiative is to offer passengers an improved yet fast travelling expirence in an EV.
Route
Initially, the tech-loaded Veera Mahasamrat EV will start its operation on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad route, offering a comfortable journey to the passengers. Later, the network is expected to grow, and spread the culture in different parts of the country.
To make it more reliable, the company is also planning to install four 1 MW charging stations on the route. It will further support the infrastructure, ensuring a smooth movement of the bus without any disruption due to range anxiety.
Specifications
At the heart, Veera Mahasamrat uses an impressive 320 kWh battery setup, which promises a jaw-dropping range warranty of 600,000 kilometres or 3,000 life cycles.
The model is said to cut fleet operating costs by up to 30 per cent compared to traditional ICE buses.
