It has been reported that the Tesla has shifted all the operations and resources into making Robotaxi. The plan of making an entry-level Tesla Model has been dropped.

The American EV giant Tesla has been working on low-cost family EVs for quite a long time. Now, it seems like the company is no longer interested in making the entry-level EV as it has taken a step back from the production plan.

It has been reported by the Reuters that the Elon Musk owned Tesla is putting more effort and giving primary focus to the Robotaxi project as yet.

Entry-Level Tesla Plan

The company intended to build new entry-level battery-powered models, catering to the mass market in the segment. The EV was expected to hit the market by the first quarter of next year with an expected price tag of around $25,000. It was anticipated to be positioned below Model 3, making it affordable for more people. Now, the plan seems like has been given a shift, and is likely to not turn into a reality.

Robotaxi To Unveil

Meanwhile, Tesla is gearing up to introduce the Robotaxi globally on August 8. Musk has already confirmed the news on his official X handle. He wrote, “Tesla Robotaxi unveil on 8/8”. He did not add further related details in his post, leaving everybody excited about the introduction of a futuristic self-driving vehicle.

Game Changer for Tesla?

If everything goes as planned, the Robotaxi will be a game changer for Tesla. It is expected to transform the whole mobility industry completely. The Robotasi is expected to come without steering and will offer a taxi service completely autonomous.
