'Intentionally Stirred Up': Sumalatha Ambareesh On Actor Darshan's Controversies

Kannada actor Darshan has been in the spotlight recently due to various incidents. His statements during the Cauvery struggle drew criticism from certain organisations, leading to protests. Subsequent to this incident, controversy surfaced regarding Darshan’s connection to a pendant made from a tiger’s nail.

Actors Darshan and Abhishek Ambareesh attended a Rajyotsava program in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, as guests recently. At the event, Darshan and Abhishek received a silver tiara. Darshan posed for a photo which went viral.

MP Sumalatha responded to allegations against actor Darshan, stating that the involved parties are intentionally stirring controversy irrespective of Darshan’s conduct. When asked about Darshan’s recent performance in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar, the actor downplayed the significance of controversies, highlighting the consistent success of his movies without any problems so far. Darshan credited his ongoing success to the steadfast support of his loyal fan base, noting that controversies hold no value as long as his fans continue to admire him.

Addressing inquiries about the entry into politics by both Abhishek Ambareesh and MP Sumalatha Ambarish said, “I have clarified my stance on the matter.” Emphasising Abhishek’s youth and the ample time ahead, there exists considerable opportunity for notable accomplishments. Given his recent marriage and a slate of upcoming film projects, Abhishek’s future trajectory remains undecided. Sumalatha underscored that, presently, Abhishek’s primary focus is on solidifying his position in the film industry and establishing a commendable reputation.

Darshan and Sumalatha recently viewed the film Bad Manners, directed by Dunia Suri and starring Abhishek Ambarish. The movie is set to release today i.e. November 24. Both Darshan and Sumalatha expressed their appreciation for the film.

Indian actress and politician Sumalatha, born on August 27, 1963, currently serves as the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Mandya, Karnataka. With a prolific career, she has appeared in over 220 films across Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi film industries. Sumalatha tied the wedding knot with Kannada actor-politician Ambareesh. The couple gave birth to a son Abhishek Gowda.
