This Actress' Films Have Higher Overall Box Office Numbers Than Salman Khan, Prabhas And Akshay Kumar

Movies featuring one particular actress have collectively raked in an impressive total of Rs 8,445 crore, potentially surpassing the profits of pan-India hero films. We are talking about none other than Deepika Padukone. The year 2023 proved to be a significant turning point for the Bollywood diva.

The actress achieved her biggest hits throughout the year. The films Pathan and Jawaan, in which she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, emerged as blockbuster hits in 2023. Together, these films amassed a staggering Rs 2,200 crore at the box office.

After Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone holds the position of the highest-grossing actor (including both male and female actors) in India. With Shah Rukh’s films raking in Rs 9,000 crore, Deepika Padukone has surpassed the earnings of prominent actors like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.

Deepika Padukone is now gearing up for a blockbuster 2024 with three mega-budgeted movies. Her first release is Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Anil Kapoor, scheduled for January 25 release.

Following this, Deepika will feature in the highly anticipated Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, touted as the most expensive film in Indian cinema. Besides this, she is set to star in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the third instalment in the franchise.

Following Deepika is Priyanka Chopra with her films amassing Rs 6,000 crore. Notably, Priyanka commands high remuneration for her roles in both Indian and Hollywood films. Her contributions to Indian cinema yielded Rs 3,100 crore, while her Hollywood ventures earned over $500 million.

Securing the third position among actresses is Katrina Kaif, whose films have accumulated Rs 5,400 crore. Following closely in the fourth spot is Kareena Kapoor, with her films amassing Rs 4,600 crore. Aishwarya Rai secures the fifth position with her films miniting Rs 4,000 crore.

Several other actresses have also seen their films surpass the Rs 3,000 crore mark. This list includes Anushka Sharma, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia and Sanya Malhotra. Notably, Sanya Malhotra played pivotal roles in two super hit movies Dangal and Jawaan. Securing the tenth position among the best actresses is Nayanthara, whose films have collected Rs 3,000 crore.
