Gold Price on March 5: Rates Fall in Metro Cities; Silver Also Declines
The rate of 24-carat gold also declined following the market trend as for 10 grams, the price is Rs 44,900, falling by Rs 470 from the previous rate of Rs 45,370.

Both the gold and silver prices on Friday, March 5 witnessed a marginal fall as the cost of one gram of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 4,390, after seeing a decline of Rs 47 from the earlier rate of Rs 4,437. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat-gold stood at Rs 43,900 after witnessing a fall of Rs 470 from Rs 44,370. According to Good Returns, the rate of 24-carat gold also declined following the market trend as for 10 grams, the price is Rs 44,900, falling by Rs 470 from the previous rate of Rs 45,370.

The rate of metal also changes in different cities of the country following the national trend. Know the price of here:

Delhi: In the national capital, the price of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 43,950 per 10 grams. Whereas for buying 10 grams of 24-carat gold, one will have to pay Rs 47,950.

Chennai: For 22-carat gold, you will have to pay Rs 42,170 per 10 grams, while for 24-carat gold, it costs Rs 46,020.

Kolkata: The cost of 22-carat gold is Rs 44,300 in the city, while it is fixed at Rs 47,000 for 24-carat gold.

Mumbai: The price of 22-carat gold in Mumbai is Rs 43,900, while you will have to pay Rs 44,900 for 24-carat gold.

International Price of Gold

In the international market, the rate of gold decreased by 0.17 percent to USD 1,694.10 per ounce on Friday. However, in the last 30 days, the performance of gold has declined by 7.79 percent which is equivalent to USD 143.10.

Silver prices

Compared to the cost of the yellowmetal on the previous day, the Silver price has witnessed a marginal decline of Rs 17 as the rate stood at Rs 662 per 10 grams from Rs 679.

Silver rates in Metro Cities

You will have to pay Rs 66,200 for buying silver ornaments or jewellery in Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata as the rate of one kilogram of the metal is the same in these cities. Whereas, in Chennai and Hyderabad, you need to pay more that is Rs 70,400 for the same quantity of metal.
