New Delhi: The June trade deficit touched 11-month high to $ 11.76 billion against $ 11.23 billion (MoM) and $ 11.28 billion (Y-o-Y). Though the imports dipped slightly to $ 38.24 billion against $ 39.23 billion on a month on month basis, it grew 8.3 per cent on a year on year basis.
Even exports rose 10.2 per cent to $ 26.48 billion (YoY), but declined from $ 28 billion on a month-on month basis.
For the first three months of the year (April-June), the trade deficit stood at $ 33.08 billion against $ 48.33 billion, exports rose 9.3 per cent to $ 80.11 billion, while the imports declined 6.9 per cent to $ 113.20 billion on a year on year basis.
