Hardik Pandya had a heartwarming encounter with a fan after his team Mumbai Indians suffered a 31-run defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 27. In a video going viral, the person was seen touching the feet of Pandya outside the dressing room at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. The India all-rounder, who was in his training kit, was evidently moved by the gesture as he immediately stopped to greet the fan.
The duo smilingly exchanged some words before Pandya got ready to click some pictures with the youngster. It was undoubtedly a dream-like moment for the fan, who later shared the video on X (formerly Twitter), with the caption, “Met my idol in Hyderabad, Thank you, Hardik Pandya.”

Hardik Pandya, who made his IPL debut for Mumbai back in 2015, moved to Gujarat Titans in 2022. The Indian stalwart has rejoined the five-time champions MI ahead of the ongoing season and this time, as a captain of the team.

Hardik’s homecoming to Mumbai Indians has yet to produce anything significant under his leadership. MI have lost both of their first games and are currently reeling at the second-last spot in the points table.
In their season opener against Gujarat Titans, Mumbai Indians managed to restrict their opponents to 168 runs. Though it looked like an easy chase for the Hardik Pandya-led side, they ultimately fell 6 runs short of the target.
The Mumbai batting unit looked far better in the following match where they made 246 in response to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record-breaking 277-run target. In their next game of this IPL, Mumbai Indians are set to host Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede on April 1.
