Kolkata Knight Riders welcome the Royal Challengers Bengaluru to the Eden Gardens for their exciting encounter in the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League on the 21st of April.
The visitors arrived at the city of joy ahead of the heated clash and were going through their gears as star batter of the touring unit Virat Kohli and the mentor of the hosts Gautam Gambhir were seen exchanging a few words during the nets session.

Kohli and Gambhir were involved in a rather prolonged spat last year following some unsavoury incidents during the game between RCB and LSG, where Gambhir was working last year. However, the pair seemed to have buried the hatchet as they hugged it out during the first-leg encounter between the KKR and RCB earlier in the ongoing season.
Gambhir, who led KKR to titles during his playing career, made a return to the club as a mentor ahead of the season and has done well at the Eden Gardens in his new capacity as he had mentored KKR to 4 wins from 6 games as the two-time winners stand second in the league table ahead of the RCB fixture.

RCB, on the other hand, have had a dismal season so far winning just one game out of their seven previous outings, and sit at the very bottom of the league standings.
The visitors will have to improve considerably if they are to stand a chance against a strong KKR unit that has only succumbed to holders CSK and table-toppers RR this season.
The previous encounter between the sides ended in a 7-wicket win for KKR at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and KKR will look to double down on their performance against RCB with a win at home on Sunday when the fixture gets underway at 3.30 PM IST.
