Shreyanka Patil managed to jump to the top of the wicket-taking charts with a four-wicket haul in the final against the Delhi Capitals. Despite an uneventful start to the tournament, she managed to showcase why she should be backed as she managed to begin taking wickets regularly from the middle stages of the tournament.
Asha Sobhana is second in the charts with 12 wickets. She started the season with a five-wicket haul but then went through a lean patch through the tournament. Since the final game in Bengaluru, she has been a regular wicket-taker for her side and closed out the tournament with two wickets in the final.
At third, we have Sophie Molineux with 12 wickets as well. She managed to put in the performance of a lifetime as she gave RCB three big wickets of DC’s top-order batters in a single over to turn the tides for her team who then went on to clinch the title. She has been a regular wicket-taker for the side and a handy bowler for the captain to rely on.
In the fourth spot, the DC all-rounder, Marizanne Kapp who picked 11 wickets in the tournament had a quiet outing in the final. But she has been phenomenal throughout the tournament and played a big role in their route to the finals. The most notable spell was against the UP Warriors where she finished with figures of 3/5 to help her side get the win.
At fifth it is Sophie Ecclestone with 11 wickets. She has been the go-to bowler for the UP Warriorz led by Alyssa Healy. Despite the team unable to get the results, she has remained as a stand-out bowler and showcasing her prowess against the best batters the league has to offer.
