The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has extended the registration deadline for over 46,000 headmasters and head teachers’ posts. The last date to apply was earlier set at April 2 but now it has been extended till April 11. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to apply may do so through the online website of the commission at bpsc.bih.nic.in.
A total of 6,061 headmasters under the education department and SC & ST welfare department and 40,247 posts for head teachers for primary schools are on offer through the recruitment drive. Candidates will be selected based on a written test which will consist of questions about general knowledge. The BPSC Headmaster, Head Teacher recruitment written exam will have 150 multiple-choice questions (objective type) worth 150 marks.
BPSC Headmaster, Head Teacher Recruitment 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates willing to apply must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with 50 per cent marks. They must possess a D.El.Ed, B.T, B.Ed., B.A.Ed, B.Sc.Ed, and B.L.Ed. certificate and must have cleared the teacher’s eligibility test. They must also have eight years of experience as a secondary teacher in a state government school and 12 years as a secondary teacher in a school that is affiliated with CBSE, ACSE, and BSEB.

Step 2: First, get yourself registered then proceed with the application.
Step 3: Read carefully and fill out the application form.
Step 4: Upload all the required and correct documents that have been asked in the form.
Step 5: Pay the fee and click on the submit button.

The application fee for the general category candidates is Rs 750 and for SC, ST, female, and other reserved category candidates, it is Rs 200.
