The Chandigarh Police Department is all set to conduct the recruitment process for 144 Constables (Executive) (IT) under the domain specialisation “IT Support,” Group-C. The Written Test admit card for the Chandigarh Police Constable (IT) recruitment is now available for download on the official website chandigarhpolice.gov.in. Eligible candidates who applied online can access their admit cards. The written exam, comprising Tier-I and Tier-II, is scheduled for March 3, 2024. Chandigarh Police IT Constable Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
All candidates, including ex-servicemen, will undergo an OMR Sheet-based test consisting of Tier-I and Tier-II. The Tier-I test, lasting for 2 hours, and Tier-II, with a duration of 1 hour, will be conducted in a single session. The Tier-I test will carry 100 marks and include questions on General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability.
The Tier-II Test, carrying 50 marks, will assess candidates’ proficiency in the domain specialisation, i.e., ‘IT Support.’ This phase is crucial in determining the candidates’ expertise in the specific field, ensuring that those selected possess the necessary skills for the Constable (IT) role.
Chandigarh Police IT Constable Recruitment 2024: Minimum Qualifying Cut-Off Marks
To qualify for the next stage, candidates need to secure the minimum cut-off marks. The qualifying marks for Tier-I are set at 40 per cent for General candidates, 35 per cent for SC candidates, 35 per cent for OBC candidates, and 30 per cent for Ex-Servicemen candidates. Successful candidates in Tier-I will then proceed to the evaluation of their Tier-II Test.
