Office of the Dean Students’ Welfare announced the Financial Support Scheme for the Academic Session 2023–24 to cater to the students from diverse backgrounds

The University of Delhi (DU) will soon close the registration process for the DU Financial Support Scheme 2024. Candidates should initiate their application before the deadline through the official DU FSS website at dsw.du.ac.in to avail this financial assistance. Candidates should be aware that the last date to apply for the DU Financial Support Scheme 2024 is January 10.

It is to be noted that the office of the Dean Students’ Welfare has announced the Financial Support Scheme for the Academic Session 2023–24 to cater to the interests of students from diverse backgrounds. To help in the growth and personality development of the students, Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW) envisions the comprehensive and overall wellness of the students on campus and outside the classroom.

Delhi University Financial Support Scheme (FSS): Eligibility Criteria

A full-time bonafide student studying in any undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate (PG) degree programme, excluding BTech. or Five-Year Integrated Law Programme enrollees at a Department, Institution, or Centre of the University of Delhi belonging to the following categories, is eligible to apply.

The scheme caters to various income brackets in two categories. Category 1 offers a 100 per cent fee waiver, up to a maximum of Rs 10,000, for those with a family income of less than or equal to Rs 4,00,000. In category 2, for incomes between Rs 4,00,000 and Rs 8,00,000, the scheme provides a 50 per cent fee waiver, up to a maximum of Rs 8,000.

DU FSS 2023-24: How To Apply

Step 1: Visit the official site of Delhi University and go to the Dean Students’ Welfare section.

Step 2: Then, look for and click on the online application portal for the Financial Support Scheme (FSS) 2023-24.

Step 3: Enter all the accurate details, including personal information and income-related details, to complete the online form.

Step 4: Upload the essential documents, such as PAN cards, EWS/OBC-NCL Certificate, Income Tax Returns, Undertaking Form, mark sheet, Fee Receipt, Bonafide Certificate, and Bank Passbook.

Step 5: Cross-check the application form and documents uploaded for accuracy.

Step 6: Hit submit and await further instructions, including the schedule for submitting hard copies and any additional steps by the Dean Students’ Welfare Office.

–– Latest Income Tax Returns (2022-23) of family members

–– Annual Family Income Certificate

–– Mark sheet of the last exam passed

–– Bonafide certificate

In addition to that, it is important to submit the application form and documents, duly attested and recommended by the Head/Director of the concerned Department/ Centre/ Institute at the Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW) office. Candidates can check the schedule for hard copy submission on the DSW website from January 12.
