The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya schools in Jharkhand have started the recruitment process for female teachers and computer operators. The application deadline is swiftly approaching, with the last date set for January 16. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 13 vacancies across various subjects in nine Kasturba Gandhi Girls Schools located in the Sahebganj district.
The available positions include language teacher with 2 vacancies, mathematics teacher with 4 vacancies, science teacher with 3 vacancies, social science teacher with 2 vacancies, and accountant cum computer operator with 2 vacancies.
All positions are for full-time roles, and candidates are required to submit their applications via post to the District Education Officer-cum-District Program Officer of their district at the District Office, Jharkhand Education Project, Saheb Ganj. It is important to note that applications sent through ordinary post will not be accepted.
Educational Qualifications
Language Teacher: Candidates must have graduated with at least 50 per cent marks in a related subject from a recognised board/university. Candidates from SC, ST and disabled categories are eligible for a five per cent relaxation in this criterion. Additionally, a B.Ed or its equivalent course is mandatory, along with the successful completion of the teacher eligibility test.
Accountant-cum-Computer Operator (for women): A B. Com degree with at least 50% marks is required. Candidates must also have passed PGDCA/DCA or an equivalent examination in a one-year computer course from a recognised institute. Proficiency in computer typing in Hindi and English, along with knowledge of tele software, is essential.
Salary Details:
Teacher: During the 2023 recruitment, the salary for teachers on a contract basis was Rs 22,000 per month, and it is anticipated that this year’s recruitment may maintain the same salary structure. Upon completing three years of service, the salary will be increased by 50 per cent.
Accountant-cum-Computer Operator: The salary for this position is Rs 9900 per month. There is a proposal to increase the current pay by 20 per cent, and the contract will be extended annually.
Age Limit
For individuals falling under the General Category, EWS, BC-I and BC-II, the maximum age is set at 38 years. For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the maximum age limit is extended to 40 years. Disabled candidates are granted a relaxation of 10 years in the maximum age limit.
