In the same instance, while talking to Local18, BV Subramaniam, Principal of Palamaner Animal Husbandry Polytechnic College, said that polytechnic courses are for those who do not want to study higher courses after passing the 10th class. He said that students can get government employment or self-employed people.

In order to excel in animal husbandry, one has to study the course for two years first. In these courses, livestock diseases, their prevention, their nutrition and the income generated by them are taught in classrooms. After that, the children are also made aware of the related matter practically. After the course, you can become a veterinary doctor or start a dairy farm on your own. There are 10 government polytechnic colleges and more than 10 private polytechnic colleges in Chittoor district under the auspices of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary College.

The admissions process for these courses will start soon. Those who are interested can apply. In order to excel as a veterinary doctor, one should first pursue a two-year course in the animal husbandry department immediately after passing the 10th standard. He said that during the two years of study, training will be given to fully understand the diseases and nutrition of animal husbandry.

Subramaniam said that those who cannot pursue higher education should study this route and these courses. After completing the two-year course, there are good opportunities to work as a veterinary doctor in Rythu Bharosa Kendras if the relevant notification is received.
