Man From Bihar’s Naxal-affected Area Secures AIR 601 In UPSC After 3 Failed Attempts
Sandeep Kumar is a resident of the highly Naxal-affected area of Dumaria Block in Gaya District of Bihar.

Sandeep Kumar from Gaya district of Bihar has brought glory to the entire district by securing AIR 601 in UPSC. According to reports, Sandeep Kumar is a resident of the highly Naxal-affected area of Dumaria Block in Gaya. He has passed the UPSC exam for the second consecutive year. Last year, Sandeep secured a 697 rank. After joining the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS), he started preparing again. Sandeep has completed his primary studies from Janata High School, Dumaria, and intermediate studies from Gaya College, Gaya, and later completed his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Mumbai.

In a recent interaction, Sandeep said that after doing engineering, he also worked for a few years. He then left his job and went to Delhi in 2019 to prepare for UPSC. He failed in his first three attempts. But last year, in his fourth attempt, he was successful. But he wanted to improve his rank. So he prepared for the fifth time and achieved his goal.

There is an atmosphere of happiness in his village, Dumariya, about this achievement of Sandeep. People from the entire block area are visiting his house and wishing Sandeep’s family good wishes for his bright future.

Sandeep belongs to a lower middle class family. His elder brother and mother used to run a grocery shop in the village. This was their only source of income to survive. Sandeep is third among five siblings. His father passed away in 2017.

In a recent interview, Sandeep’s elder brother Nitish Kumar said that his grandfather died in April 2017 and that on the same day, his father also died due to a heart attack. Despite two major incidents, Sandeep did not give up, and after completing engineering, he started preparing for UPSC with his full focus, and now all can see the result. He has managed to achieve success.

Sandeep has given credit for his success to his entire family and all the teachers. They guided him at every step. He has given a message to the candidates appearing for the UPSC exam in 2024. He said that someone who is willing to appear for the examination should revise as much as possible. One should also be confident and never give up or leave hope; believe everything will be good. Currently, Sandeep is in Delhi.
