The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET PG 2024 exam city allotment slip today, July 29. Candidates will receive the information on their registered email IDs. It will not be released on the exam website at natboard.edu.in.
As per the official notice, the test centre will be available on admit cards, which will be issued on August 8. “The test centre venue in the test city allocated shall be intimated through admit card which shall be released on 8th August 2024 at NBEMS website,” reads the official notice.
NEET PG 2024 was originally slated for June 23, however, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) rescheduled it as a precautionary measure. It will now be held on August 11.
The NBEMS had shared a list of 185 cities where the exam will be held and had asked candidates to choose four preferred test cities. Candidates who would fail to provide any preferences regarding the test cities during this online window will be allocated a test centre by NBEMS anywhere in the country, as per availability, the board stated.
Wherever the number of available test cities in a State/UT of correspondence address is less than four or the demand for testing seats exceeds the available capacity in the state of correspondence address, candidates will be offered to choose from the test cities of nearby states/UTs. Allocation of the test city to a candidate will be done randomly from the choices provided, and these four choices will not be considered as an order of preference of test cities, the NBEMS had stated earlier.
“The candidate will be allocated a test center in one of the nearest available locations within the state of correspondence address or in nearby states/ UT. If no test center can be allocated within the state of correspondence address or in a nearby state as well, the applicant shall be allocated a test center in any part of the country based on availability,” the notice added.
