The Odisha Sub-ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has invited online applications for filling up various positions of teachers in Government Schools under ST & SC Development, M & BCW Department. Candidates may apply online by logging in to the OSSSC web portal at osssc.gov.in. It is to be noted that the application process for the recruitment will begin on April 1, 2024, and will conclude on April 25, 2024.
OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Vacancy Details
Under this recruitment drive, the commission aims to fill up a total of 2,629 District Cadre posts of Teachers in TGT (Arts), TGT (Science-CBZ), TGT (science-PCM), Hindi Teacher, Sanskrit Teacher, Tribal Language Teacher, Physical Education Teacher (PET), and Sevak/Sevika in Government Schools.
It is to be noted by the applicants that these positions are specifically for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Minority (M), and Backward Classes (BCW) categories.
OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Age limit: The candidate must be a minimum of 21 years of age and must not exceed 38 years of age as of January 1, 2024. However, upper age limit relaxation shall be allowed to candidates of different social/special categories such as SC/ST/SEBC/Women will get a five-year relaxation, while Persons with Disabilities will get 10 10-year age relaxation.
Education Qualification: To be eligible, the candidate should possess a bachelor’s Degree with a related subject from a recognised university

OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Selection Process
Candidates will be solely selected on the basis of their performance in the written examination. Those who qualify for the test will then have to go through a document verification round. Post this, a final cut-off list will be released stating the selected candidates.
OSSSC Teacher Recruitment 2024: Salary
OSSSC TGT Arts, TGT Science (PCM), TGT Science (CBZ), Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, and Sanskrit Teachers can expect a salary of Rs 35,400 per month, while OSSSC Physical Education teachers will get a monthly salary of Rs 29,200 as per 7th pay commission.
