Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel's move to Napoli may fall out of contention following financial reasons.
According to reports in Talksport, Skrtel's agent Karol Csonto has dismissed reports regarding the Slovakian's move to Italy. According to him, Skrtel could be out of Napoli's price range.
Csonto had earlier revealed that his client had discussed his Serie A move with team-mate Marek Hamsik after the 28-year centre-back had a forgettable season at Anfield.
"I specifically say that Skrtel has never said he wants to go away, then it depends on the Liverpool market because everything could change," he told Tuttomercatoweb.
"It's true that the last two seasons were difficult but in football in can happen.
"I dont think Napoli have the financial possibilities to take him. Liverpool has not decided a price because they don't intend to sell the player. Anyway, I don't think Napoli can afford his wage."
Speculation about Skrtel's move to Napoli began when the Serie A club appointed former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez. Benitez was responsible for bringing in the Slovakian at Anfield in 2008.
