Barca close in on Cesc Fabregas

London: Cesc Fabregas is clearing out his locker at Arsenal as he prepares to return to Barcelona. The Sun says he will have to fork out 4.5 million pound from his own pocket to do it.

Arsenal are set to agree a 35.9 million pounds fee with Barcelona - plus add-ons - should Fabregas win major tournaments.

But the fee also includes 900,000 pounds a year which Fabregas has agreed to pay Arsenal out of his own wages over the next five years of his Barca contract.

All that remains is for Fabregas, 24, to thrash out personal terms to bring to an end a three-year saga. And last night he returned to the London Colney training ground to clear out his locker.
