Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has expressed his eagerness to play alongside fellow Spaniard Cesc Fabregas after it was reported that the EPL side claimed to have launched a €30million bid for the Catalan midfielder.
United have agreed for a record deal worth €31million overtaking their €30.8million deal for Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
De Gea had words of praise for his Spanish team-mate and said it would be great seeing Fabregas at Old Trafford, reports ESPN. "It would be great if Cesc came here," the United goalkeeper said.
"It would be great to have more Spanish players at Manchester United. He is a great player, very skilful, knows how to win things and you always want those type of players in your team."
Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova had earlier said that Fabregas has no intentions of leaving the Catalan club. However, later reports claimed the La Liga side are looking to gather back some financial strength after signing Neymar.
