Hiddink says giving Manchester United a fight for title this year won't be easy.

New Delhi: Newly appointed Chelsea manager, Guus Hiddink, recently admitted that giving Manchester United a real fight for the title this year would not be easy, but thinks the quality in his squad will shine through as they fight until the end.

Guus proved modest in his summary of Chelsea's title chances, which was perhaps owed to the seven point lead United have over the Stamford Bridge outfit, plus an advantageous game in hand.

"I am not naive. They have a very good squad, but as long as there is a possibility, you never know. However, realistically, it will be difficult.

"I like a team that does not give up. I liked the way the team reacted against Wigan after we conceded the goal, and that is just like I see the championship as well. We have to go as long as it is possible," he added.

The 62-year-old, who replaced Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea, has an optimistic view of the club's future as he prepares for Tuesday's Premier League clash with Portsmouth.

"We have the ambition to be at the top of the pile in May, so we have to stop them."

Guus has proven his worth at Chelsea already, winning every single match that has been presented to him since taking over at Stamford Bridge.
