New Delhi: Chelsea midfielder Deco has announced that he wants to secure a transfer away from west London this summer.
The two-time Champions League winner was brought to Stamford Bridge to aid the club's European cause, but as soon as England's summer clime began to dwindle, so too did the form of the ex-Barcelona player.
The 31-year-old then failed to establish himself in the plans of temporary manager Guus Hiddink. Midfield enforcer Michael Ballack, box-to-boxer Frank Lampard and Ghanaian international Michael Essien were all regarded as preferential options to Deco under the Dutchman
.
The Portuguese has declared that he would favour a move to Inter, allowing him to team up with former mentor Jose Mourinho.
He told Maisfutebol, "I have a contract with Chelsea but there are offers from other clubs.
"I want to feel well in myself and this was not the case at Chelsea. I want to find a club where I can enjoy playing football again. Of course I would like to work with Mourinho again, he guarantees success.
"He is a great coach, maybe the best I've had in my career.
"I have a contract but I know that the clubs have spoken. I do not want to stay and I've already said that. I have to have respect and wait but I do not like the experience at Chelsea."
