I-League club Shillong Lajong are the joint owners of the NorthEast United that will be based out from Guwahati with the Indian Gandhi Athletics Stadium as its home ground.
The club will be managed by veteran New Zealand international Ricki Herbert with Joan Capdevila, the member of Spain's champion teams from Euro 2008 and FIFA World Cup 2010, as its marquee player.
