Madrid: Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has guaranteed there is no tension within the squad. News daily Marca claimed last week that Madrid's Spanish players had grown unhappy at the fact that coach Jose Mourinho allegedly gave preferential treatment to the squad's Portuguese footballers.
It was also claimed that such a difference had led to Madrid captain Iker Casillas confronting Mourinho during a training session.
Marcelo stated after his side's 4-1 victory against Athletic Bilbao on Sunday that there was no division in the squad, and Sergio Ramos has now backed the Brazilian full-back's allegations.
"Whoever says that the squad is divided or that there are fractures, is lying," he said on his Twitter page. "There is a great group and a great union.
"Success will come if we work together."
Madrid are looking to overcome the 2-1 deficit from the first-leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals as they travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday.
