Reading: Reading has agreed to sign former Real Madrid midfielder Royston Drenthe. The 26-year-old Drenthe, who most recently played for Russian club Alania Vladikavkaz, is set to sign a two-year contract with an option for a third year with the English Championship side.
The Dutch international joined Real Madrid from Feynoord in 2007, and has since had loan spells at Spanish second-division team Hercules, and English Premier League side Everton, before moving to Russia.
While his preferred position is left wing, Drenthe has also been known to play in defense at left back.
