Theo Walcott's double gives Arsenal 3-1 win at West Ham

London: Theo Walcott scored twice as Arsenal fought back to win 3-1 at West Ham and halt a three-game winless run in the Premier League.

Arsenal fell behind when goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny spilled Kevin Nolan's shot and Carlton Cole pounced to score a minute into the second-half.

West Ham goalkeeper Adrian was also culpable for Arsenal's equaliser, with Walcott cutting in from the right and striking between his legs in the 68th.

Walcott headed Arsenal in front three minutes later, and Lukas Podolski rounded off the win in the 79th at Upton Park. West Ham dropped into the relegation zone. But the victory puts the Gunners provisionally top of the league. They could be overtaken later Thursday if Liverpool beats Manchester City.
