UEFA will launch an appeal against all the sanctions imposed by their independent disciplinary on Serbia and England.
Nyon: UEFA will launch an appeal against all the sanctions imposed by their independent disciplinary on Serbia and England following the fighting and fans' racism during their under-21 match in October.
The Football Association of Serbia was fined €80,000 ($105,000) and ordered to play one under-21 home match in an empty stadium, while some of the team's coaches and players received bans.
UEFA said on Wednesday that "having reviewed the motivated decisions for the sanctions ... the UEFA disciplinary inspector felt it necessary to immediately confirm his intention to appeal."
UEFA President Michel Platini had previously indicated that he was likely to seek tougher sanctions on Serbia. Two England players also received suspensions.
