We have to go all-out against Chelsea: Giggs

Manchester: Ryan Giggs insists that Manchester United will not come out and park the bus against Chelsea on Sunday.

The two teams clash in a potentially title deciding game at Old Trafford, with Carlo Ancelotti's men currently three points behind and level on goal difference with the league leaders.

So if the Blues were to win the blockbuster fixture between the two clubs, they would go to the top of the table on goal difference with two games remaining.

However, a draw would benefit United as the gap at the top would remain the same, but Giggs insists that the aim is to emerge victorious on the day to all but knock the chasers out of the title race.

"I think it's dangerous to just try to avoid defeat against a team like Chelsea, who can score goals against you," said Giggs, according to The Mirror.

"We have to go out and attack, like Manchester United do at Old Trafford. The crowd wouldn't have it any other way.

"If we were to sit back in the first 10 or 15 minutes, the crowd wouldn't have it. We've got to try and score goals and win the game.

"Both teams realise that [if United win the title race is all but over], and that's what we'll be aiming to do.

"It's going to be difficult because they're a top team, but our form is good and we always fancy ourselves at Old Trafford."

United have taken 10 points from a possible 15 in their last five games in the league, whereas their opponents have a 100 per cent record in their previous five.

It comes as a remarkable turnaround for the west London outfit, who were trailing by 15 points earlier in the campaign.

"Chelsea are a very good team and they've hit a good bit of form," Giggs said.

"We knew that they wouldn't be too far behind us, and that's certainly the case. But you don't have to worry too much about what's happening [in terms of the gap having closed].

"We could go back further [to] when they were 10 points in front of us. It's just all about Sunday and producing a performance.

"We're not worried about what's happened in the past. All we can control is what happens in the future, starting with Chelsea."
