Brazilian club Corinthians have shredded off talks regarding Real Madrid mid-fielder Ricardo Kaka.

Kaka, who joined the Spanish giants in 2009, hasn't been himself after he was sidelined after a long-standing knee surgery. The 2012-13 season saw him score just three goals in 19 games for the Balancos.

There were speculations of the Brazilian club's interest in the 31-year-old mid-fielder after his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu hasn't seen him perform at the level he is known for.

Corinthians' director Duilio Monteiro Alves has put the rumor mills to rest by saying, "There is nothing, it's just speculation,"

Talking to Gazeta Press, Alves stated "I don't know where that story came from, but it didn't start at Corinthians. He is an excellent player, no doubt about that, but we haven't even talked about him."

Kaka was earlier even linked to former club AC Milan but the Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani brushed off the talks saying Kaka is too old to rejoin the Serie A club.

What's your reaction?
