Dune: Part 2 has a run time of 116 minutes, which is 11 minutes longer than its prequel Dune.

After the massive success of director Denis Villeneuve’s 2021 film Dune, the makers are back with its sequel titled Dune: Part 2. The first two trailers, starring Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya in the lead have already enthralled the masses. Now, the final trailer of the sci-fi adventure flick has been released, piquing the interest of the masses further. And if the third trailer promises anything, it is that the second installment is going to be much grander with more stakes for the protagonists than the first film. Scheduled to release on the big screens on March 1, 2024, Dune 2 will premiere in both English and Hindi languages as well as in IMAX theatres.

As per the description of Dune: Part 2 trailer 3 dropped on YouTube by Warner Bros Pictures, the film “will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a path of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family". However, there is a catch. Atewides will have to face a do-or-die choice between the love of his life and an uncertain fate that the universe holds for him. “He endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee," reads the description.

The trailer begins with Timothee Chalamet’s Paul Atreides standing in the middle of a desert with an explosion happening in front of him. Soon the scene shifts to Zendaya’s Chani who lies in Atreides’ lap claiming that she had a nightmare but it was unclear. There’s a reference to the Harkonnens who had a history with Atreides for decades. Impossible fight sequences find plenty of space in the trailer with grand battles amidst the sandy dunes, mind-blowing explosions, and a looming uncertainty. But it is the romance between Atreides and Chani that becomes the main highlight of Dune: Part 2. The trailer promises war on a planetary scale as Atreides leaves no stone unturned to save his planet and his people from the enemy.

According to a report by The Collider, Dune: Part 2 has a run time of 116 minutes, which is 11 minutes longer than its prequel Dune. This is a challenge that director Denis Villeneuve has taken graciously, the outcome of which can only be found out when the film is released. Apart from Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, the second part also stars Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Christopher Walken, Dave Bautista, Austin Butler, and Josh Brolin in important roles.
