Fruit snacks
Gather multiple kinds of fruits the kids like. For example, strawberries, watermelon, apples, bananas, oranges, and so on. Wash the fruit before using.
Have an adult help with cutting the fruit into shapes. For example, cut into squares, circles, slices, etc. Place all of the cut fruit into a central area.
Give each kid a plate. Ask them to make something from the fruit pieces. For example, a face, an animal, a house, the sun, or something else. Berries can be added too, for use as eyes, noses, buttons, etc.
Serve the creations. The kids can eat their own or swap them, depending on what they prefer.
Bread and spread
Place slices of bread and a favorite spread out in a central place. Give each child a plate.
Give the kids cookie cutters. Have them cut shapes from the bread slices. Choose cutters that match the bread size as much as possible, to avoid wastage, or show them how to get two shapes from one slice of bread. Animal cookie cutters are often a big favorite, as are character and vehicle shapes.
Have them spread their bread shapes with their own favorite spread.
Let them add sprinkles if wished. This is optional, as you may wish to keep it healthy.
Serve. Easy, quick and a lot of fun.
