Stage One: Forest Temple
Equip the Gale Boomerang to [B].
Wait for Zant to stop throwing energy balls and take cover with your shield or dodge away.
Throw your Gale Boomerang.
When Zant is walking around dazed, quickly slash at him.
Repeat the above steps once more for him to teleport you to another stage.
Stage Two: Goron Mines
Equip the Iron Boots to [B].
Put on the Iron Boots when Zant starts jumping.
Once he stops, he will shoot a volley of energy balls at you. Just hold up your shield to block them while carefully running up to him.
After shooting the energy balls, he will be tired for a couple seconds, so un-equip the Iron Boots and slash him a couple times.
Repeat the above steps to proceed to Stage Three.
Stage Three: Lakebed Temple
Equip your Double Clawshots to [B].
Equip your Iron Boots to [Down].
Put on your Zora Armor.
A Zant mask will come out of the ground. Wait for Zant to fire his volley of energy balls.
Once he is done shooting, the mask will start to close. Quickly target and Clawshot him.
Put on the Iron Boots and slash away.
Zant will then repeat this with four heads, so you have to guess which one he is in.
Quickly unequip your boots and swim up to Zant and then re-equip them and Clawshot him towards you to attack him.
After hitting him again, he will proceed to Stage Four.
Stage Four: Forest Temple 2
Equip your boomerang and throw it at him and then a roll at the pole to bring him down.
He will then fall off. Slash away at him.
Repeat this three more times and he will change the arena into Stage Five.
Stage Five: Snowpeak Ruins
Equip the Ball and Chain to [B].
Zant will grow huge and float above you. Run around to stay away from him.
When he does land, throw the Ball and Chain at his foot. He will shrink making him fightable.
Run after him and then stop and try to hit him a few times before he gets big again.
Repeat two more times so he will progress to the final stage.
Stage Six: Hyrule Castle
Zant will be in front of Hyrule Castle. He will pull out two swords and start attacking. He will either spin for a long time or flail his swords around.
If he is spinning, run. You cannot hurt him until after he is done spinning, where he will be dazed for a few seconds. You can also defend repeatedly with your shield.
If he is flailing, however, you can either charge him or do a backslash to hurt him.
After a long while, he is finally defeated.
