A Pythagorean Tree is a fractal that is created out of squares. The process of creating one is very simple, but when it's complete it looks pretty cool!
Begin by drawing a square (about 1" x 1") near the bottom of your drawing surface.Pytree1.svg
Draw a right isosceles triangle whose hypotenuse is the top edge of the square you just drew. Pytree2.svg
Draw squares along each of the other two sides of this isosceles triangle.
Repeat this construction on each of the two new squares.Pytree4.svg
Continue building triangles and squares in the same fashion until you are happy with your tree.
