How to Find and Use Jungle Vines in Terraria: Simple Guide

• In Terraria, Vines can be farmed by killing Man Eaters found in the Underground Jungle biome.
• Vines have a 50% drop rate. Be sure to attack the Man Eater's head rather than its block.
• Vines are used to craft the Ivy Whip, Jungle Pants, and more.

Getting Vines

Go into the Underground Jungle biome. This biome can be found underneath the Surface of the Jungle biome. Just travel downwards. You'll see dozens of small caverns connected together.

Find and defeat Man Eaters. The Man Eaters look similar to the surface-level Snatcher enemies, except they are red and green. These enemies have pinchers that extend towards you to attack. Attack the Man Eater's head rather than the block it's attached to. If you destroy the block, you won't receive any drops. You can also find Jungle Spores in the same area. Destroy the green glowing orbs that grow on the Jungle grass.

Collect Vines. When you defeat a Man Eater, it has a 50% rate of dropping Vines. Man Eaters also have a chance to drop Ancient Cobalt armor, which can help you prepare to defeat bosses, such as the Queen Slime, Skeletron, the Wall of Flesh, and more.

Vines in Crafting

Amazon. This yoyo can be crafted with 8 Rich Mahogany, 12 Stingers, 1 Vine, and 9 Jungle Spores.

Blade of Grass. This weapon can be crafted with 12 Stingers, 15 Jungle Spores, and 3 Vines.

Ivy Whip. This weapon can be crafted with 12 Jungle Spores and 3 Vines.

Jungle Pants. This armor can be crafted with 8 Jungle Spores and 2 Vines.

Snapthorn. This weapon can be crafted with 12 Stingers, 3 Vines, and 3 Jungle Spores.

Axe of Regrowth. This weapon can be crafted with 1 Staff of Regrowth, a Copper or Tin Axe, 12 Jungle Spores, and 3 Vines.
