What the "Invalid Asset" Means in Discord
The "Invalid Asset" error means your sticker wasn't saved properly. Discord will only accept PNG, APNG, and GIF images for stickers. If you saved your sticker as a different file type and just changed the ending to .PNG, .APNG, or .GIF, Discord will give the "Invalid Asset" error.
Ways to Fix the Invalid Sticker Error
Save your sticker as a PNG or GIF from an image editor. If you're saving a still image, just about every image editor and art program has the ability to save a PNG file. Most image editors can save GIF files as well, but you'll need a program that has a timeline feature (like Photoshop) or video editing software to save an animated GIF. You can also use an online photo editor like Photopea to save your image as a PNG or GIF.
Convert your image to PNG, GIF, or APNG. If your sticker is saved in an unaccepted file type and you're not able to save it as a PNG, GIF, or APNG, you can convert it using an online converter. CloudConvert has PNG and GIF converters. EZGif can convert GIFs to APNGs.
Send a WEBP image in Discord, then open it up and save it as a PNG. If you're trying to add a sticker that's a WEBP file, try this quick and easy workaround. Copy the WEBP image and send it in a Discord message. Click on the image, then click Open in Browser in the bottom-left corner. You can now save the image, which has been converted to a PNG, and upload it as a sticker. Discord doesn't appear to support WEBP images, so when you send one in a Discord message, Discord will automatically convert it to PNG.
