However, thanks to player feedback, Trios was quickly added back to Fortnite before May 2023 was over. Epic temporarily removed Trios in May 2023. However, non-ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build Trios modes were enabled at the end of May 2023 due to player feedback and complaints. In June 2023, Epic released a statement explaining that Trios was removed in the Season Zero update to help with queue times and matchmaking quality across the game, despite the fact that the playlist was removed with the ranked play update.

Current Trio Modes in Fortnite

Battle Royale Trios. Trios was added back to the non-ranked Battle Royale mode at the end of May 2023, after Epic had quietly removed Trios during the May 2023 update.

Zero Build Trios. Like Battle Royale, Trios was added back to the Zero Build mode at the end of May 2023 thanks to feedback from the Fortnite community.

Ranked Battle Royale Trios. Epic finally added Trios to the Ranked Battle Royale mode around November 2023. However, as of May 2024, Trios is still not available for Ranked No Build mode.
