A children’s hospital, in Hyderabad’s Attapur caught fire on Saturday at around 6.15 pm. The incident was reported at Ankura Hospital and the management informed that the fire was caused due to a short circuit.
As per police and fire department officials, no injuries were reported due to the blaze. The officials further said that as a precautionary measure some patients were shifted to nearby hospitals. “Three fire engines reached the spot and doused the blaze completely,” they added.
As per information received from the officials, most of the upper floors of the building were vacant as construction work was going on, they said. Fire personnel thoroughly checked all the floors and there were no injuries nor casualties as fire did not spread inside the building, the officials added.
As per the hospital authorities, the terrace outdoor lights caught fire due to short-circuit and further investigations are on.
The fire department was immediately informed and the fire was brought under control immediately.
