Kolkata: Ten people who were arrested for allegedly gangraping a woman in Durgapur were on Tuesday sent to judicial custody for 14 days. The arrests came after overnight search operations by the police.
The 35-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped late on Sunday night on her way back from work. She was accompanied by her husband who was critically injured.
A medical test has been conducted at the Durgapur sub-divisional hospital. The woman had said that 12 to 15 men were involved in the attack.
