KOCHI: In a vehicle inspection conducted by the Motor Vehicles Department, 18 motorists were booked in the city for driving without licence on Tuesday night.
A total of `4.21 lakh was fined in 182 cases. The inspection was carried out by a team led by Ernakulam RTO C J Thomas and Muvattupuzha RTO P V Varghese, under the instruction of Ernakulam deputy transport commissioner P A Sainuddeen. The inspection will continue in the coming days too.
