Patna: Twenty students died after allegedly consuming mid day meal at a government school in Marhaura in Chhapra. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have called for a bandh in Chhappra on Wednesday to protest against this calamity.
According to reports, many children are reportedly sick and have been shifted to Chhapra town for treatment.
Meanwhile, the Nitish Kumar government has announced Rs 2 lakh compensation to victims' family. The Bihar HRD Minister and the HRD Secretary have rushed to Chhapra. The Bihar government has also ordered a probe into the incident.
