20 held for eve teasing

KOCHI: The police have arrested eve teasers from different parts of the city.Kochi City Vanitha Shadow police arrested ten persons from Saritha theatre while they were harassing women come to see movies at the theatre.The police also arrested nine for eve teasing at the Walkway in Marine drive.The Vanitha Shadow Police also handed over a student who had been trying to bunk classes to her parents.The Vanitha Police had intensified their effort after a lot of eve teasing was reported from the city. The Vanitha police team comprising Premimol, Ushua, Maya, Sindhu and Anitha Kumari took the 20 persons into custody.Special Branch Assistant Commissioner M N Ramesh said that the drive against such people would be intensified in the coming days.
