20 Injured as bus falls off bridge

RAIRAKHOL: As many as 20 persons were injured, five seriously, after the bus in which they were travelling fell off a bridge on NH-55 at Barsikia under Charmal police limits on Sunday.The seriously injured have been identified as Ashok Behera (40) of Khurda, Sadhu Charan Nayak (40) of Begunia, Sudhanshu Bigraha (30) of Bhadrak, Prabhakar Tiwari (35) and Soumya Ranjan Panigrahi (35) both of Rourkela.  Reports said that the private bus was on  way from Rourkela to Bhubaneswar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle resulting in the mishap.  Charmal Police and Fire Brigade personnel  carried out relief and rescue operations. A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the bus driver.
