3 die in blast at ice plant

KANNUR: Three workers were killed and two others sustained injuries in an explosion at an ice plant at Pazhayangady on Saturday evening. Two of those killed in the explosion were identified as Praveen,23, and Raju,24,both natives of Orissa. One of those killed is yet to be identified. Another injured, Monal,23, who is also said to be a native of Orissa,  has been admitted to Pariyaram Medical College Hospital.According to official sources the explosion was caused by leakage of an ammonia tank at the ice factory.
