New Delhi: It's been 4 days since the MV Khaliq was hijacked by Somali pirates and there's still no word yet on the 22 Indian crew members who were taken hostage.

The second captain of the ship Amit Vahi is a resident of Agra.

His wife who is expecting said she last spoke to him on October 22.

The family says the last they heard the cargo vessel was taken to an unknown destination.

They now want the Panamaian ship owner to intervene and secure the crews release.

The Somali pirates hijacked the Panamanian carrier in waters off Somalia on October 22.
