52-year-old man stabbed to death by criminals

A man was stabbed to death by unidentified miscreants early on Tuesday morning in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, police said.

52-year-old victim, Sudama Singh along with his nephew have gone to relieve on the Swarnarekha river bed after they got down at the Mango bus stand when three miscreants surrounded them and told them to hand over valuables, police said.

Singh, who works as a driver was ready to part away with the money he was carrying after miscreants trained knife at him but strongly opposed when the looters insisted him to give away his driving license, sources said adding that Sudama strongly resisted as the driving license was his source of livelihood.

The miscreants fatally stabbed him and decamped with the booty, sources said adding that Sudama s nephew, who was also attacked, managed to escape unharmed, sources said.

A police team rushed to the spot on being informed about the incident and recovered the body, which was later sent to MGM Hospital for post-mortem. Police said further investigation was on.
