CHENNAI: As many as 76 persons have received orders for their appointment to various divisions of the Chennai Corporation on compassionate grounds from Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa at the Secretariat. They have been offered jobs in the Corporation since the elderly members of their families died in harness.Of the 76 persons, 56 received orders as sanitary workers, 10 as road workers (salai paniyalargal) and 10 more as ayahs in hospitals. Those who received the appointment orders thanked the Chief Minister.
